One of the most significant milestones in our journey was becoming one of the first breweries in Western Canada to produce a pumpkin beer. Not only did we embrace the idea of a pumpkin-infused beer, but we took it a step further by creating Pumpkineater Imperial Pumpkin Ale with a robust 8.0% ABV.
Flashback to the early 2000s, when the craft beer scene was a bit different from what it is today. Brewing with more than four ingredients was considered outside the box and even a little daring. It was during this time that Howe Sound Brewing decided to pave the way for the pumpkin beer craze that would later sweep the craft beer world. Pumpkineater was a game-changer, pushing the boundaries of what beer could be and setting the stage for a seasonal sensation.
