Battle of the Businesses is back and we're putting our best foot forward to raise the most amount of money we can for Community Christmas Care.
What is Battle of the Businesses?
Battle of the Businesses is a yearly competition between local businesses to see who can raise the most money for Community Christmas Care during the month of November.
Community Christmas Care offers support to hundreds of people in Squamish who need a little extra help around the holidays by filling hampers with food, toys, clothes, etc.
For the “battle” itself, one business “calls out” another business to see who can raise the most amount of money for charity. This year we called out The Cleveland Tavern (formerly The Goat).
Howe we're raising money
Our “Drink to Donate” special, $1.00 from each pint sold during the month of November will be donated. 16oz pints are $7, the choices of beer are our popular:
Mango Jalapeno Sour
Pineapple Gose
Super Jupiter Mango ISA
Guava Donkey
You're My Boy, Blue!
Solar Rotations Radler
The more you drink, the more we donate. But remember, this special runs for the entire month November. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Please drink responsibly.
Don't drink but still want to donate?

One challenge for businesses working with crypto is creating payment systems that feel familiar to ordinary users while still supporting blockchain transactions efficiently. Paybis https://paybis.com/business/on-off-ramp/ appears to address that through its on/off ramp infrastructure, which can help connect fiat payments and digital assets in a more accessible way. Beyond the technical side, the company’s recent licensing developments are also important. Paybis Europe received MiCA and PSD2 licenses, adding stronger regulatory credibility within the European market. In practice, this matters because businesses usually prefer payment providers operating under established compliance standards instead of uncertain legal environments. As regulations evolve across crypto services, companies with recognized licenses may have an advantage when it comes to long-term partnerships, customer trust, and smoother financial…
I never really thought about the Drink to Donate – Battle of the Businesses post in this way before, but reading how Howe Sound Brewing turns a month‑long “battle” between local spots like The Cleveland Tavern into a $1‑per‑pint, beer‑fueled donation drive for Community Christmas Care made me appreciate how much this kind of campaign is really about socializing generosity: the more you drink, the more you give, and the whole thing feels like a community‑wide happy‑hour with a built‑in charity meter. It’s striking to see how the brewery layers carrot‑style incentives on top—raffle tickets with prizes like heli‑tours, resort stays, gift cards, and outdoor gear—so the act of giving isn’t just a silent donation but a shared, almost‑game‑like experience,…
I’ve been exploring different arcade driving game styles, and drift boss math playground still holds up as a fun, quick challenge you can revisit anytime.
Such a practical guide! It underscores how the best processes are simple and repeatable. Our old 'recipe' for managing tools and IT hardware was pure chaos, leading to unnecessary repurchases and frantic searches. Creating a centralized system was the turning point. Using cloud-based fixed asset software with QR tags meant the whole team could easily check items in and out from their phones. This simple change saved us countless administrative hours and significantly reduced our equipment budget, turning a chaotic process into something as reliable as a trusted recipe.
